The cheddar jalapeño soup: one of the yummiest soups I've ever had! Would recommend this fun restaurant in downtown Edmonton. Servers were extremely friendly and the food hit the spot on my Sunday afternoon visit.

Absolutely dreadful service. We had an reservation for 7 people for lunch time on a Saturday. When we got there, we immediately noticed that there was a lineup of people waiting outside - which makes sense since we were part of an event with 450 people over at the Convention Centre. We were seated quickly, however after that we waited over 45 mins just to get water at our table. Our server didn't even come over to take our orders until we'd been sitting for 45 minutes. At no point in time did our server or a manager come over to check on us or explain anything. They might have been "swamped" "slammed" unexpectedly but that is no excuse for the poor communication and terrible service - no apology made by the server or manager. Upon making our displeasure known, we were met with "well what you like us to do. The kitchen is swamped"
An hour and a half later, as we made to decision to walk out, I approached a manager to inform them - I was told that they had comped our table. How does that help us, if we're walking out?? Lucky for us, we had one person willing to stay back to get our food to go - which arrived over 2 hours after we were seated. On top of that, there were clear errors in our food. My dish was supposed to have grilled avocado - there was none to be found. Another person ordered a side salad, but was given fries.
There were several other tables and patrons who were also in the same position. Many walked out as well, all clearly disgruntled and hungry.
While I cannot fault the restaurant for the unexpected rush, or for being swamped - I can fault them for their lack of concern for the time of others, lack of empathy for their patron's discomfort, or their lack of professional communication. A preemptive sorrow for the inconvenience would have gone a long way.
Will absolutely never ever return to this place ever!! Nor would recommend this establishment. -

Came here for a special event at the end of February - the vegan dinner & beer pairing, which they've hosted for a couple of years in a row now. It's a 4-course meal with a beer pairing for each course, tickets sold out pretty quickly so keep your eyes open for next year!
There was a roast onion wedge with vegan pesto to nibble on before the meal, then onion soup with vegan bacon; braised mushroom on a lentil and farro fritter; curried squash and legumes; and a chocolate peanut butter pie to finish.
Hadn't been here before and it's a nice place, very big and clean and modern, with lots of space. I imagine it must get pretty loud on busy evenings, but we had the whole upstairs room for the event and on a Tuesday it was a reasonable volume.
I can't judge their normal food quality since this was a special event, and I'm not actually a vegan so I also can't judge well by vegan standards, but the food was pretty tasty. The soup was a bit over-salted and the stew was a bit bland, but the mushroom and fritter was delicious and the balance of different vegetables in all the dishes was well chosen. The "chocolate peanut butter pie" was a bit of a mystery, since it was not a pie at all, but more like a small bowl with chocolate cookie crumbles in the bottom and a peanut butter sauce on top... in fact, there was nothing pie-like about it. It was still pretty tasty, but maybe call it a crumble or something like that? Anyway, I wasn't totally blown away but I also know vegan cooking's quite challenging and I'd still come back sometime to try their regular menu, which I imagine would be even better. -

Wow, Craft Beer Market kills it everytime!!! I brought my dad in to check the place out this afternoon after the Oilers game.
When we walked in, there was a 20-30 minute wait. That's okay, we just took a spot at the bar instead. Oh where to start, there are so many options on tap! I believe there are about 100 or so to choose from (my go to is always the Peach Cider). It took a little while for the bartender to come back around and take our food order, but after we did order we had our meal in under 5 minutes - we just couldn't believe it!
I can't wait until my next visit (hopefully sooner rather than later), and needless to say my dad loved it here too.
